Project Objectives

The EU-funded project easy.dpp.nrw aims to develop a practical, modular, and cross-industry software solution for the Digital Product Passport (dPP). At its core is the idea of facilitating entry into the complex topic of the digital product passport and the circular value chain. The project combines technical development with tangible application benefits: the “easy.dpp” software toolkit is intended to support companies across industries in efficiently collecting, managing, and sharing relevant product and sustainability data. At the same time, the solution should make it possible to identify and implement suitable circular economy strategies (e.g., reuse, recycling, remanufacturing) based on data. A holistic approach is being pursued that integrates technological, organizational, economic, and social aspects. The project team works closely with industry partners to ensure that the solution meets the real-world requirements of different sectors and can be easily integrated into existing business processes. easy.dpp.nrw thus represents a significant contribution to the digital and sustainable transformation of industry in North Rhine-Westphalia—practical, scalable, and future-oriented.
