First Idea for the Digital Product Passport
First Idea for the Digital Product Passport
The first idea for easy.dpp.NRW emerged during a joint exchange: a practical approach to implementing the Digital Product Passport in an understandable, sustainable and application-oriented way.
Starting point of the project idea
As early as December 2022, the first idea for the easy.dpp.NRW project emerged during a joint exchange. The focus was on the question of how the Digital Product Passport can be implemented in a practical, understandable and usable way for companies.
The Digital Product Passport offers the possibility of providing relevant product information digitally and thereby creating greater transparency along value chains. Especially with regard to sustainability, circular economy and regulatory requirements, this topic is becoming increasingly important.
Briefly summarized
- First project idea developed in December 2022
- Focus on the Digital Product Passport and sustainable product information
- Goal: practical support for companies
- Basis for the later development of easy.dpp.NRW
From the first idea to the project approach
The first idea gradually developed into a concrete project approach. The focus was particularly on the questions of which information is relevant for a Digital Product Passport, how this data can be structured and how companies can be meaningfully supported during implementation. This early phase formed the basis for the later development of the easy.dpp.NRW project.
